Fully Flush Windows for Cleanrooms

cleanroom windows cleanroomCustom height flush clean room windows
Neslo Manufacturing Company offers cleanroom windows that are fully flush so that the window unit does not have any place for to collect dust. The flush mounted window frame design eliminates the any sill, preventing the accumulation of micro organisms and dust particles. The flush window is mounted into the wall system to provide a completely flush window. Nearly any window type can be easily incorporated into most designs and can be designed to meet any wall thickness.

Not only does a fully flush window look great, the design eliminates the opportunity for dust to gather on a window sill. Additionally, in order to help keep air flow disruption to a minimum, our completely flush cleanroom windows can also be integrated into return air walls. Return air walls, sometimes called air walls, are an important part of your cleanroom window design and cleanroom wall surface.

A flush window can be made of different materials including popular tempered glass. A flush cleanroom window also makes your cleanroom appear more professional. Also, a flush window helps your employees move around unhindered. Consider utilizing a fully flush window for professional appearance and performance when it comes to your cleanroom windows.

These windows offer a cost effective solution compared to fully flush windows and still offer protection against dust particles. Compared to flush mounted windows, semi flush windows are offered in tempered glass, laser glass, polycarbonate windows, and other types of glass for many cleanroom applications. If you want to save money with your cleanroom windows and still make your cleanrooms meet all the requirements you need, semi flush mounted windows offer a great option compared to a fully flush mount window wall panel.

Guide to ESD and Our Cleanroom Window Offerings

Is your cleanroom an ESD environment? Neslo Manufacturing Company offers cleanroom window solutions, cleanroom viewing panels, and wall systems that can meet the needs of an ESD environment.

Your industrial cleanroom is a precise place. That means it is vulnerable to electrostatic discharge (ESD), even from the simple action of shoes scuffing along a floor as an employee walks around a working area. That means when you come up with the design for your clean room, you need to be careful about controlling every element that goes in or out of the room. You cannot take any chances when it comes to the dangers of electrostatic discharge to your equipment and your products. That means you need to consider every surface in your cleanroom design, right down to often overlooked cleanroom windows.

Need more information about cleanroom classifications?  See our blog post on Everything You Need To Know About Cleanroom Classifications.

What It Means to Have an ESD-Safe Environment

As you know, it's not just about protecting against dust particles in your cleanroom. Part of having a safe and effective cleanroom is controlling electrostatic discharge (ESD). An ESD that's just 30 volts can cause damage to sensitive components and materials, and disturb the balance of your cleanroom.

Here’s the problem: the average static electricity generated when walking across carpet is between 1,500 volts and 35,000 volts, based on relative humidity.

Do you know what that means? If you’re manufacturing electronics, you could wreck an entire expensive circuit board just by walking across the carpet. Even further, sensitive instruments used in your industry can sometimes be damaged by electrostatic discharge. Caution is paramount when you are creating a cleanroom that needs to prevent electrostatic discharge.

As a tip, you also need to control what materials are allowed in your cleanroom. From clothing to tools, every material you bring into your cleanrooms will introduce new particles into the air that could put your cleanrooms outside the acceptable standards. Think about what your employees wear and what they bring into the cleanroom with them each time they enter and set appropriate ground rules.

Understanding Cleanroom Standards

A cleanroom is a hyper-clean environment where a specific concentration of airborne particles is achieved through control of the ventilation, temperature, humidity, filtration, air pressure, and ionization. Our windows feature what you need to maintain the environment you need without cutting corners.
Because of this, the regulations surrounding industrial cleanrooms are very precise. You cannot afford to slack when it comes to meeting the regulations of your industry, and we are here to help you come up with the best clean room design without cutting any corners. The most universally accepted cleanroom classification system comes from ISO 14644 Standard.

Controls and Prohibited Materials in Cleanrooms

Cleanroom contamination comes from a number of different sources, including facilities, people, tools, and some indirect sources. Your air conditioning can be a source of contamination, for example. If your air conditioning system pumps in contaminated air, then your clean room is contaminated as well.
You also need to take your employees into account. Skin flakes, hair, etc. can contaminate your cleanroom and anything in it. Make sure your employees are taking the necessary precautions because it doesn’t take a lot to disrupt the air particles and ESD in your cleanroom. Our windows feature everything you need to meet the high standards of your industry.

Creating an ESD Cleanroom

We know that it can be tough to create an ESD cleanroom, which is why we’re here to help you build yours. It's not just our modular wall offerings or our viewing panels- with our cleanroom window solutions you can design your environment to meet your needs without cutting corners. We offer flush mount windows, flush window tempered glass, semi flush windows, glazing options, fully flush window units, an other options include nearly any glass you may need.
